It is the treatment performed if the tartar has descended under the gum and the formed stones have caused some bone loss around the tooth. After local anesthesia is applied to the teeth, the stones and infected tissues under the gums are cleaned with special tools. Brushing alone is no longer enough. You should also use special brushes called interdental brushes.

Could these stones under the gum be the cause of my bad breath?

Will I have tenderness after subgingival curettage?
Sensitivity often occurs because the root surfaces are exposed. These sensitivities will gradually pass with the gels and toothpaste recommended by your dentist.

Before curettage, the fibers surrounding the tooth and keeping it in the bone are infected. During the recovery process after the procedure, some shaking may seem to have increased. But this feeling will disappear as the healing in the fibers is completed.
How often should I use the interdental brush?
